Every dollar you give between now and December 31, 2017 will be matched dollar for dollar up to $25,000, doubling your impact in Malawi! Help us keep this work going, donate today.
Imagine struggling with the same issue year after year, and then suddenly, you get a break. You’re ecstatic!
That was Joyce’s story. For years, she struggled to grow enough food for her family. But last year, hers was one of 50 households Pamoza selected to receive seed, fertilizer, training, and monitoring. Joyce had so bountiful a harvest that she was able to feed her family and sell beans to a local boarding school. She’s never sold so many beans in her life!
But Joyce is not the only one celebrating. We’ve had much success this year. More than 60 students were assisted with school fees, 72 adults learned to read and write, 4,000 people were reached with the Gospel, 1,600 students ate school breakfast daily, and 12 pregnant women received monthly check-ups in their own community instead of walking 5 miles to the nearest health center.
With your help, we can do even more! We have some exciting new projects lined up, including the Pamoza Farming Institute, a 70-acre demonstration plot where community members will learn effective farming practices. We also plan to expand our adult literacy program and teach more community members how to save money though village banking.
Pamoza does not receive any grants, so we work especially hard to stretch every dollar to have the most impact for the 6,000 people we serve in Malawi. We are trying to raise $100,000 by the end of the year through our Double-the-Blessings Challenge. Thanks to the generosity of a group of supporters, every dollar given between now and December 31, 2017 will be matched dollar for dollar up to $25,000, getting us closer to our goal. You have the opportunity to work pamoza (together) with us to increase our impact in Malawi.
Can we count on you?
